Investigate causes and liability for treatment of emerging illnesses of 9/11 emergency workers

It is becoming apparent that many emergency workers at the site of the towers buildings on 9/11 and for a number of days thereafter have developed various illnesses. The incidence of these illnesses is such that it seems likely that the cause was the release of asbestos or other disease-conveying particles into the atmosphere at a time when officials were telling emergency workers that they did not need to wear a mask.

The emergency workers are entitled to a hearing on their claim that they are suffering from their illness because of wilful or negligent conduct by building owners, governmental officials and others.

A grand jury investigation of what happened seems the best thing to do, to find out what really happened.
