This list of things that I would do as New York State Attorney General makes a convenient outline for what a Town Attorney General should think about doing. If a major retailer is violating federal and New York law throughout the state, it is also violation such law within many of the towns, villages, cities and counties of New York State, and a town attorney general should consider taking appropriate action. It could well set up a training program to train officials of the town on different types of problems which should be referred to the town attorney general.
