First Time Visitors - Our Objectives
Revised 9/13/97 after 2.5 years of changing website activity.
LawMall (tm) - The most unique collection of antitrust and litigation information on Internet for small businesses and their attorneys. Take the time to click on each of the headings in the home page and review the range of information offerings available to you. You will undoubtedly find things of use and/or interest to you, whether you are a lawyer, small businessperson, paralegal or other participant in the legal industry, or are a person seeking legal information to help resolve a specific problem or want to learn more about the law, your job or business, want to increase your income or want to learn about little-understood aspects of politics and the economy. We have followed these themes in putting this mall together, which first time visitors to the mall might like to read for orientation:
The website is a fast, graphics free website to permit information to be communicated quickly without wasting the time of the editor of this site, or you the reader. Too many sites, in the editor's opinion, place a heavy emphasis on graphics files because they have little else to say. The trend toward splashy paid advertisements only makes things worse, where the ads further slow down an already slow site. Lawmall and subsidiary websites have no graphics, with two excepts: the link to the site's maintainer, OCSNY, and a planned website to publish information about a completed full-length motion picture, Ramblin' Gal.
To provide information about the nation's antitrust laws and the enforcement or lack of enforcement thereof, including the Sherman Antitrust Act, the Robinson-Patman Act, and the Clayton Act, and most particularly price-discrimination and service-discrimination problems.
To provide means by which small businesses and middle-class America can have their problems of decline and survival dealt with, including the country's most significant problem of the ever-increasing concentration of our economy with inevitable adverse implications for politics, the economy, and the American way of life.
To provide a means for the attorneys representing small business in the U.S. to group together through their local bar associations, linked together through internet and "Small Business Websites" as available through the Lawmall main menu to deal with the adverse treatment of small business in all sectors of law, politics and the economy.
To suggest ways in which persons can cope with the increasing concentration and declining economy for many in the middle class through participating in and helping to establish "Dropout Communities" in the U.S., discussed at length in an E-Book in progress accessible through two Lawmall menu options.
To provide downloadable pamphlets which deal with legal, economic, business and political problems common to millions of persons, including job loss, starting a business, whistleblowing for profit, how to be creative, how to protect an idea, how to get paid what you're worth and how to rescue a large city from looming financial disaster, a complaint which explains how the U.S. presidential elections are quite from what ordinary Americans have been led to believe, and a book explaining why many Americans, without justification, are unemployed or underemployed, and what can be done about it.
To assist in the development of virtual law practices (emphasizing litigation), involving the main components: lawyers, paralegals, legal secretaries, word processing operators, court reporters, investigators, judges (both public and private), process servers, expert witnesses, computer consultants and technicians, and the field (newly-created by LawMall) of the "legal gopher" (tm). The letters "tm" as used in LawMall are intended to refer to both a trademark and service mark, as appropriate.
To provide information relating to the financing of lawsuits through the offering and sale of shares therein.
To develop a group of expert witnesses willing to work on a contingent fee basis, and to put them in touch with clients who need their services.
To provide information which lawyers and paralegals work with on a near daily basis.
To make it easier for clients and lawyers to find a lawyer in specific cities.
To describe and point to a vast range of law-related Internet sources, but not to duplicate them.
To provide additional law-related resources not available elsewhere on the Internet.
To provide litigation tips and forms in national civil litigation matters, and point out where court reform is needed.
